Update
Sorry but I cannot post any videos of me playing because I'm in the middle of the process of upgrading to an intermediate flute so I won't have it until Thursday or Friday. Once I get music ready and used to my new flute then I be sure to post some videos. It should be by Sunday. I will play some simple songs (i.e. Mary Had A Little Lamb and Hot Cross Buns) and show the first five fingerings. I just got a laptop so I can work whenever. While I'm waiting look at some of these Youtube videos to help:

Embouchure
Above is the proper way to position your mouth on the mouthpiece of your flute, also called your embouchure.
When to blow into your flute make sure you are blowing across the hole and not into it.
The way I learned to make a sound it to pretend that you are spitting a piece of rice or whisper "too".
Your bottom lip should be right against the edge of the embouchure hole.
It will take a while to position your moth and make a sound.
Look at yourself in the mirror to make sure you are doing it right.
Good luck!!
P.S. Don't freak out if you don't get it for a while. I didn't either and now I am an awesome flute player if I do say so myself.

How To Hold Your Flute
This demonstrates how to properly hold the flute. Left hand on top and right hand on bottom. Your flute should always be pointing to your right. Pay very close attention to where the fingers are EXACTLY.
